Verified Viterra promotes focus on quality and food safety Our Viterra storage and handling business in Australia has put in place a new quality programme, Verified Viterra, to mark the high standards and systems the business maintains to meet customer needs. Customers of the Viterra systemwant a deeper understanding of how their product is managed, how it is stored, how it is quality tested, and how food safety can be demonstrated in the sourcing systems they use. Verified Viterra creates value by creating confidence in our growers’ products and supporting demand. Verified Viterra stands for some of the highest standards of food safety and quality in the industry. It represents the processes we have put in place to meet customers’ requirements and the standards employees have upheld throughout the supply chain, fromwhen we receive the grain to when it is loaded for the customer. Verified Viterra is supported by the company’s state-of-the-art laboratory and its ISO accreditation. Viterra opened a new AUD3 million purpose-built laboratory in 2018 which is fitted with the latest grain analysis equipment. All Viterra’s facilities are ISO 22000 accredited, the highest accreditation of any grain supply chain in Australia. During the year, Viterra was audited and approved as achieving the new 2018 standards.
